We recently made an appointment for our cat with a suspected UTI. First off, they said they were full and I made a drop off appointment for between 730 to 8 am 3days later@ We were there for the appointment on time. Oh yes, and because we hadn't been there for a few years, we had to pay a deposit to get the appointment. A first ever for me. Our animals are normally healthy and we take them to Companions for shots and other routine stuff like flea prevention and such. Anyways, we arrived with our stressed out baby and after about a 25 minute wait, we finally got called back into I guess the intake room. Here we were told that it was going to cost about $450. for a uti. Office visit. Shots, screening, meds..yada Yada. We expected maybe 200 or 250...this was almost double what they had treated this cats brother for a few years back...twice. Once we went on a Saturday and it wasn't that much. Obviously we left. We called a local vet clinic and they took him in right away. 2 hours later we paid $227 for an unscheduled visit. Urinalysis, antibiotic shot and a pain/inflammation shot and take home meds. We know where we will be going from here on in. Chestnut impressed us in the past, but not anymore. Shame on you all for taking advantage of honest people looking after their fur babies.
